You’ll find plenty of tips and tricks to getting the most out of networking via the internet and via BNI’s global resources. So here’s a few more pearls of wisdom we’ve found very useful.

1. Join a strong contact network group that matches your objectives!
2. Then join 2 more - 1 social and maybe 1 based around your profession
3. Get out and network at least once a week
4. Set objectives when you are networking - prior, during and after the event
5. Remember your network tools
   Cards (yours/your colleagues), Name badge, Pen, A Smile!
6. Get to the event first - get to know the staff - work out where the loos are!
7. Be a host, not a guest - get someone a coffee.
8. Play the YOU game - use the 5 W’s
9. Make an impression, be remembered (for the right reasons!)
10. FOLLOW UP WITHIN 24 HOURS or it really has been a waste of time.
